Médica “La Luz" offers you comprehensive service of quality nutrition services.
Our main functions are:
- Promote and recover the patient's nutritional health in the family environment and study the social factors that favor and/or interfere with the patient's nutritional health.
- Provide technical guidance for the proper preparation, preservation, and distribution of food and special diets, as support for the treatment and recovery process of hospitalized patients and by biosafety standards.
- Schedule and control the food service for hospitalized patients, according to the instructions of the treating physician and what is prescribed in the respective medical record.
- Supervise and control the quantity and organoleptic quality of fresh and dry foodstuffs as well as their storage conditions.
- Ensure the supply of food rations to patients and evaluate the nutritional content and other specifications of the food, to cover the nutritional needs of patients and staff according to current regulations.
- Ensure the safety and proper use of equipment, material, and kitchen utensils and crockery, as well as their preventive and recuperative maintenance.
- Schedule and evaluate the Nutrition and Dietetics service at the established time in outpatient or hospitalization, for the fulfillment of the functional objectives assigned to the Hospital.
